Done, Done at last

Hats off to all of you who have run a 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles), or full marathon (26.2 miles). Man oh man was that the hardest self motivating thing I have done, EVER! I am glad I did it, and glad it is done. I now have a time frame to work towards for my race in April. Thanks so much to all of you who have expressed your support, and encouragement. And thanks to my two lady friends who committed to do this task with me, I will forever be grateful.

Quotes from the kids

Finn is learning what being frustrated means. His latest sayings of frustration include: "Mom, you are so busted" - this is said when I ask him to do something he doesn't want to do. Also the noises that come out of his mouth, I laugh almost every time "aahhhh, hmmm, ggrrrrr" these are all said as he is bending over almost colapsing
This is more of jesture than a quote: as we were singing from the hymn book Finn licked his index finger and used it to turn the page. So funny, and so cute. I just can't get enough.
If you ever get the chance, have Finn sing I Am a Child of God. Really the cutest little thing I have ever heard. He has perfected each part.
When Finn sings I Am a Child of God in the end when it says "teach me all that I must do" he says "teach me all that stuff..." and ends it there. It doesn't sound as funny when I write it down - but when sung by Finn super funny!
Finn "him's my best friend" there are times I can not find the heart to tell him how to speak correctly
Huming birds have become a fascination in our family. Finn will say "I see a honey bird" - love it!
All of Finn's shorts this summer were Van's shorts last summer, SO they are a little big. When Finn is climbing into his car seat he often says "Oh, my bums falling off" which means his pants are falling down. It's so funny!
Finn is so funny these days - maybe I shouldn't laugh at his sayings, but how can I not? The other day he came to me so sweetly and asked "you need a dying coke" diet coke.
I hope Finn is not trying to tell me something when he puts his stuffed animal up his shirt and while patting it says "this is my fat baby"
Funny things Finn Says: "thad be good", "let's go ride the front frunner" (front runner), when I tell Finn to say sorry, or something to Van he will say "sorry brudder", "lets nuse nis" (let's use this), and "hanitizer" (hand sanitizer), we went to the doctor yesterday he kept calling the doctor "dofter, dofter" it was pretty funny.
Van - "Christmas magic", when you do something for someone with out being asked, or not getting paid.
While watching the fire works on the 4th of July Van explained the reason of fireworks "Mom, I know why we need fireworks for the earth's birthday (4th of July) cause candles are to small" It was so cute!
Finn loves to sing Happy birthday this is how it goes " Happy, (pause), to you" over and over. Love it!
While at the doctor Van was washing his hands with soap he said "this is to make my hands shiny"
Finn is still working on his speech, but gets better everyday. He will now say "where's grandpa?" I say "where is grandpa?" Finn says "at his house." That is a three word sentence, maybe the speech therapy is working?
Van put a ring thing that had broken off a gun onto a string and asked me to tie it around his neck. As I was tying it he said "dudes sometimes where necklaces, huh mom".
At Halloween grandma Patti asked Van for a kiss he said "Pirates don't give kisses" he had to take off his and sword before he would kiss her.
