Treadmill

This year for Christmas, I used my money plus some other saved fundage to buy a treadmill. It is my new favorite thing. Reason #1 I don't have to pay for my gym membership anymore (which I didn't use because I hated leaving my warm house in the early morning to get in my cold car), reason #2 I started a training program www.coolrunning.com couch to 5k program. I have always tried and wanted to run and entire 5k (3.1 miles), I've come close but not quite. This week I am on my 5th week of training - I have run my first 20 minute full run. I did it and was so excited! I have found the training schedule has not been as difficult as I thought, it is actually refreshing.
Yea, for me.

Happy Birthday Daddy

This weekend was my dad's birthday. We went down to spend some time with him. It was a wet weekend, and we didn't get out much. Of course that is no excuse for my dad, he always has lots of stuff planed for when we come down. This picture shows twinners with my dad and Finn - cowboyboots and jeans.
This is the wildlife museum at the Dixie Center in St. George, it was pretty cool. All of the different animals in thier habitats. At one point the lights turned out and they played a thunder storm, Finn got a little scared but soon revived.

Van was so excited to get this mustache out of a quarter machine, he looks so manly.

At the museum they give the kids binoculars. The boys had a fun time looking and being explorers.
Happy Birthday dad, we had a fun time as always.

Chuck E. Cheeses, where a kid and be a kid

CHUCK E. CHEESE, remember when we would always go there on our birthday as kids. Man that was the best.
This is not celebrating a birthday but a success at school. Van was so excited to win tickets so he could get prizes. Finn wanted to ride all the moving rides. The horse was his favorite.

The speed of the horse would change if you leaned forward, or moved from side to side - pretty cool, I thought.

Hardware Ranch

Grandma and Steve invited us to go up to Hardware Ranch. It started out as a cold, snowy morning.

By the time we got up there the snow was slowing down, and plows were working hard to clear the roads.

Finn was so excited to ride on the sleigh with the horses pulling. At one point when we were stopped he yelled "go horsies" - it was cute.

Here is Van acting afraid of the snow cat.

While we were at the visitors center Finn first saw this mountain lion and said "so cute" and kept petting it. The signs said - please do not touch - but he didn't care it was "so cute"

Here are a few of the bull elk we were so close to them, it was fun to see all the things they do, and the noises they make.
